Laying flowers in memory of the Soviet feat

Residents of Slobodzeya celebrated the 81st anniversary of liberation from the German-Romanian invaders. A rally took place at the Glory Memorial in the Russian part of the city on April 11. Solemn events were held on April 12 in the Moldovan part of Slobodzeya – on Arkadnaya Square. They were attended by the city and district leadership, representatives of labor collectives, schoolchildren, and the public. Those gathered honored the memory of the fallen with a minute of silence.

Residents were congratulated on the day of liberation of the city and district by the deputy of the Supreme Council of the PMR for constituency No. 21 "Slobodzeya" Pavel Shinkaruk, the head of the state administration Vasily Tishchenko, the chairman of the district city council Tatyana Zalevskaya. The event discussed the years of the German-Romanian occupation. The contribution of partisans, underground fighters, and residents of Slobodzeya district to the liberation of the region was emphasized. More than 10 thousand Soviet soldiers and officers died in the battles of 1944 on Pridnestrovian soil, the website of the Slobodzeya state administration reports.

As part of the republican festival movement "March of Victory", the "Symbol of Victory" was solemnly handed over to Tiraspol. Students of Slobodzeya school No. 1 presented a patriotic literary and musical composition. Creative groups performed a festive concert.

Residents of Slobodzeya showed by participating in the memorial rally that they remember and sacredly honor the feat of the Soviet people during the Great Patriotic War and are grateful for the peaceful sky.

Residents of Dubossary celebrated the 81st anniversary of liberation from the German-Romanian occupiers on April 12. The troops of the 53rd Army liberated the villages of Rogi, Malovata, Kochiery, Korzhevo, Bolshoy Fontan, and Lunga on this day in 1944. Flower-laying ceremonies were held at the memorial complexes to the granite slabs in memory of the exploits of Soviet soldiers and officers. Commemorative events took place at the Memorial Complex of Military Glory, where the remains of 81 Soviet soldiers who died during the liberation of the city rest in a mass grave, the website of the local state administration reports.

The flower-laying ceremony was attended by the head of the state administration of Dubossary district and the city of Dubossary Ruslan Chaban, the chairman of the district city council Alexander Kolomytsev, the deputy of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic for electoral district No. 11 "Central" Boris German, representatives of public organizations, city enterprises, residents and guests of Dubossary.

The day of the city's liberation from the German-Romanian invaders was celebrated on April 12 in Grigoriopol. The city and district administration and residents honored the memory of the fallen Soviet heroes at the "Grieving Mother" Memorial Complex. According to the local state administration, flowers were laid at the Mass Grave, at the portrait sculpture of the Heroes of the Soviet Union and at the monument to the defenders of Pridnestrovie.
