The aim of the law-in-draft, developed by deputy Galina Antyufeeva, is the restoration of social justice in the provision of benefits to persons of retirement age - the citizens of the republic.
As you know, January 1 this year, amendments to the Law "On social protection of veterans and retirement age persons" came into force. According to the adopted amendments, the benefits to pay for public services and benefits for travel to pensioners who are citizens of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic, receiving a retirement pension in a foreign country and having executed a long registration on the territory of Pridnestrovie.
However, after the entry into force of these amendments to relevant parliamentary committees, personally Galina Antyufeeva began to receive complaints of citizens, indignant violation of the principle of equality before the law for all citizens of PMR. Beyond the state support were Pridnestrovians who permanently reside in the country, but receiving a pension in a foreign country.
As noted in the explanatory note to the law-in-draft, "this situation is unjustified, in connection with which developed this legislative initiative aimed at restoring social justice among unprotected groups, which are the senior citizens of Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic is actually residing on the territory of Pridnestrovie, regardless of where they receive a pension".
The author of initiatives proposed amendments to the Law "On social protection of veterans and retirement age persons" and to extend the benefits to pay for public services and public transport in the category of citizens of Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic.
