Restoration of justice for 149 pensioners

14.10.2020

The law on measures of state support during the state of emergency and quarantine will be supplemented with a new norm. Social support will be provided to those Pridnestrovians who have reached retirement age during the state of emergency - from March 17 to June 15. The corresponding law-in-draft was adopted in the first reading by the Supreme Council deputies in the course of online meeting. Parliamentarian Oleg Petrik proposed to amend the anti-crisis law. The initiative was developed on the basis of voter appeals. The author of the amendments noted that during the state of emergency, almost all state authorities and public administration changed the order of their work. In particular, Pridnestrovians could contact on the issues of pension provision by phone or e-mail. In practice, there were cases when, for various reasons, people could not apply for a pension.

After adjusting the norms of the anti-crisis law, the day of the emergence of the right to it, that is, reaching the retirement age, will be considered the day of applying for a pension. The main condition is to submit an application with the necessary documents or send them by mail within 3 months after the cancellation of the state of emergency.

The amount of recalculation of the pension of this category of citizens is 182 thousand rubles. The law-in-draft will be finalized by a specialized committee together with the Ministry of Social Protection and Labor for adoption of the document in the second final reading.
