Deputies of the Supreme Council heard the report “On the situation of children in Pridnestrovie in 2017”. The Minister of Education Tatyana Loginova presented the main provisions of the parliamentarians. The head of the relevant ministry said that the annual state report has been published since 2011. It contains an analysis of the main aspects of children's life (education, spiritual and physical development, health, nutrition, and leisure), identifies a number of problems, and identifies measures aimed at improving the situation.

After reviewing the main points of the report, the deputies asked a number of questions to the head of the Ministry of Education.

As Tatyana Loginova told, the university trains a sufficient number of medical workers. The problem is in enshrining. The president’s initiative, which obliges graduates who have been trained at the expense of the republican budget, to rectify the situation, has to rectify the situation by working on the acquired specialty in the bodies of state power, local self-government, organizations of any legal organizational forms of ownership.

Chairman of the Committee on Education, Science and Culture Mikhail Burla expressed concern about the demographic situation in the republic.

The deputies also spoke about language policy. According to the chairman of the relevant committee, the higher education system allows you to study in one of the three official languages. However, there are few of them those who want to choose Moldavian or Ukrainian. In addition, there is a problem with ensuring the educational process of educational literature. For a number of different reasons, groups with the Moldovan language of instruction in the state university are not recruited. This year only one was opened - “Moldavian philology”.

The government deputies took note of the report. However, instructions were given, among them - to provide information on the training of pediatricians, on measures to support the education of children in Moldovan and Ukrainian languages, as well as on the state of health of schoolchildren.
