The Labor Relations Issues

10.07.2024

The fact of termination of employment relations can be established in court through special proceedings. The legislative initiative to introduce amendments to the Civil Procedure Code of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic, developed by deputies of the Committee on Social Policy, was supported by parliamentarians in the course of the plenary meeting in the first reading today.

The deputies proposed to supplement the Labor Code of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic with a norm that would allow the Ministry of Social Protection and Labor to regulate the procedure for maintaining labor books in the event of termination of labor relations in court.

Parliamentarians in the course of the plenary session unanimously supported the initiative of their fellow deputies. The relevant parliamentary Committee on Social Policy, Healthcare, Labor, Family and Childhood Issues will continue to work on the legislations in the second reading, taking into account all comments and suggestions.

Another law-in-draft regulating labor relations was adopted at today's plenary meeting in the second final reading. We are talking about an addition to the Labor Code of the PMR, which was proposed by deputies of the Committee on Legislation, Protection of Rights and Freedoms of Citizens Galina Antyufeyeva, Gregory Dyachenko and Oleg Petrik. Now employees have the priority right to remain at work in the event of layoffs for 2 years until they reach the age that gives them the right to a full old-age pension, including a pension on preferential terms and in connection with special working conditions.

The initiative of fellow parliamentarians and the amendments developed for the second reading by the Government of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic were unanimously supported by deputies of the Supreme Council. New measures in the Labor Code of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic will come into force immediately after signing by the President and official publication.
