Meeting of the Pridnestrovian delegation headed by the Parliament Speaker Alexander Korshunov with the Head of the United Russia faction Sergei Neverov took place at the State Duma of Russia. The dialogue was attended by deputies Sergei Chizhov and Alexander Yaroshuk, representing the interests of Pridnestrovians in the Russian Parliament, as well as the first deputy Head of the United Russia faction Vladimir Melnik.
The meeting participants discussed issues related to the expansion of socio-economic and humanitarian cooperation between Russia and Pridnestrovie. The possibility of providing comprehensive assistance and support to Pridnestrovians in the fight against the pandemic, the timing of the delivery of the vaccine is on the agenda. The issues of the work of the exit consular service point in Tiraspol were raised, the possibility of accelerating the acquisition of Russian citizenship for citizens of Pridnestrovie, as well as issues related to the use of maternity capital, were discussed.
The topics of assistance and support to people with special needs and socially unprotected groups of the population were touched upon. They discussed the possibility on the part of the United Russia to send medical equipment to Pridnestrovie as well as equipment for public utilities.
The Head of the United Russia faction Sergei Neverov noted that he personally monitors issues related to the supply of vaccines to Pridnestrovie and measures to combat the pandemic.
The dialogue touched upon the possibility of providing technical loan in connection with the drought and the beginning of the sowing campaign. Sergei Neverov suggested holding meetings with executive authorities on the topics discussed. The Head of the faction expressed hope for the appointment of a representative in the Government of Russia, who will oversee these issues. Thus, it will be systematic to receive methodological and practical assistance in the development of economic and agricultural sectors, as well as in support of large families, pensioners, the youth.
