War invalids will be able to undergo free dental prosthetics using cermets in 2023. The deputies of the Supreme Council adopted amendments to the law “On social protection of war veterans” in the course of the plenary session in the second final reading. 250 thousand rubles are allocated for these purposes in the 2023 budget. The amount of compensation for each beneficiary patient, war invalids, will be determined by the Government.
The questions that the deputies voiced when the law-in-draft was adopted in the first reading at the plenary session on December 14 will be worked out by the Committee on Social Policy and Health at the beginning of next year. It is necessary to revise existing laws that prescribe free dental prosthetics for other privileged categories of citizens, for example, Chernobyl victims, disabled people with a general disease, etc according to the Chairman of the Committee Sergey Cheban. It is planned in particular to consider the possibility of prosthetics with all types of materials at the request of a beneficiary patient, but within the amount of compensation established by the PMR Government. There are restrictions according to the law now: one can not use cermets, porcelain and precious metals.
In addition, the deputies adopted amendments to the law on the republican budget for 2022 in two readings at once at the plenary session today. The law-in-draft concerned the free provision of dental services to the population. Financing for this year was provided in the amount of more than 7 million 400 thousand rubles. The deputies adjusted the figures for the number of services provided, since their cost, originally prescribed in the law on the republican budget-2022, differed from the actual cost.
The republican budget for 2023 provides for the provision of dental care to the population the same amount as this year – 7 million 432 thousand rubles. It includes the provision of free medical care by dentists, free orthodontic care for children, prosthetics for privileged categories of citizens (with the exception of prostheses made of precious metals, porcelain and cermets) and prosthetics for war invalids (with the exception of prostheses made of precious metals and porcelain).
