Some issues on the agenda of the upcoming plenary meeting on the eve of its consideration were reviewed by members of “The Obnovlenie” parliamentary faction.

They unanimously supported the government’s legislative initiative to amend the law on the social protection of war veterans. It is about granting various kinds of benefits and guarantees to participants in hostilities in the Great Patriotic War who became disabled as a result of injury, contusion, injury or illness received during this period, registered at the place of stay in Pridnestrovie for any period of time. In addition, the right to benefits is proposed to be granted to family members of this category of citizens. As members of “The Obnovlenie” (Renewal) faction noted in their speeches, there are various life situations, including those where the children of the Great Patriotic War veterans living in our republic bring their parents from other states, mainly neighboring ones, to Pridnestrovie to fully care for them. There is a small number of such elderly citizens. The implementation of new legal norms if adopted by the entire deputies corps will require additional budget expenditures in the amount of 85.6 thousand rubles a year. At the same time, these benefits to these honored people are provided for the period of validity of registration at the place of stay.

Deputy Aleksandr Korshunov, chairman of “The Obnovlenie” (Renewal) faction presented to colleagues a law-in-draft, initiated by the President in the legislative need regime, designed to exempt enterprises from the industrial sector and the provision of services, with the exception of retail organizations, from paying tax on losses. Such measures are applied annually by legislators, starting in 2015.

In addition to this, he cited statistics on the effective work of the tax authorities in the past year. The size of penalties applied to unscrupulous taxpayers amounted to 100 million rubles, accrued interest - 3 million rubles.

Once again, members of “The Obnovlenie” parliamentary faction did not agree on the law-in-draft, expanding the list of additional measures aimed at stabilizing the republic’s economy. The law-in-draft declares an increase in the competitiveness of domestic manufacturers of cable products, as well as the prevention of harm to the life and health of its consumers. Specifically, it is proposed to extend the requirements for mandatory certification, including for cable and wiring products imported into the republic, regardless of the presence or absence of a certificate (declaration) of compliance from the CIS or European Union.

Opinions of supporters and opponents of the adoption of the law-in-draft were divided. The supporters talked about the need to support domestic producers, the second - about the local action of the document and the creation of difficulties for consumers of this specific product who want to import it.

Members of the faction during the meeting made a decision on a number of personnel issues, in particular, Deputy Oleg Vasilaty was included, who also expressed a desire to continue legislative activities in the parliamentary committee on economic policy, budget and finance.
