To enlighten Land Users

The tradition of gathering farmers on the eve of crop-producing season lasts several years. Seminars are held throughout the country and are organized by the Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources. Land users of Slobodzeya and Slobodzeya district, Tiraspol and Bendery gathered in the Slobodzeya House of Culture. They told about the forthcoming irrigation season, fertilizing the land, shared their experiences and best practices on the new agribusiness.

Last 5 years were not easy for land users. Financing of the sector was significantly declined; high tariffs for water were unreasonably. As it was noted during the seminar by representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture, the Government intends to help farmers. The President Vadim Krasnoselsky gave instructions to the relevant ministry; deputies of the Supreme Council have to implement it at the legislative level. Firstly, the tariff for irrigation should be maximally reduced. Its size in the current year will be 70 kopecks per cubic meter of water. This was stated by the head of the relevant ministry Efimy Koval yesterday at the meeting of consultative assembly of the first Pridnestrovian deputies.

Another measure concerns residents of rural areas. Citizens living in the village in private homes will receive benefit in the irrigation water from the drinking water supply systems. The size of the social norm is now calculated.

According to the farmers themselves, another necessary condition for the development of the industry is the availability of affordable credits. The Company grows fruits: apples, pears, plums and others 17 years. Their total land is approximately 50 hectares. Grown fruit is dried and sold on both domestic and foreign markets. There was hard time recent years, the company's management has high hopes for proposals of the President Vadim Krasnoselsky associated with development of agro-industrial complex.

According to organizers, the workshops are useful for land users, and for the authorities. Similar meetings will be held in the near future in other regions of the republic.
