In February this year, the President Vadim Krasnoselsky signed a decree on the establishment of the Tiraspol Suvorov Military School. The educational institution will begin work on the 1st of September. Presentation of the school was held today in the capital's Palace of the Republic. The meeting was attended by the first president of Pridnestrovie, Igor Smirnov, Deputy of the Supreme Council, a member of the School's Board of Trustees Ilona Tyuryaeva, parliamentarian Sergei Vasilyev, heads of ministries and departments. Russian guests - First Deputy Chairman of the International Association "Cadet Brotherhood", a member of the Council of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation for Cadet Education Dmitry Nesterov and Major-General of Russia, formerly head of the Moscow Suvorov School Alexander Kasyanov arrived at the presentation of the Suvorov Military School.
The head of the Board of Trustees of the Suvorov Military School in Tiraspol, Igor Smirnov, noted that the Suvorov movement for all the years of its existence, from the time of the Romanovs' rule, to the present days, was distinguished by the valor and honor of serving the state, and hence the people.
Young guys who are already thinking about a military career, and their parents were invited to the presentation of the Suvorov Military School. Future students of Suvorov Military School during the solemn event were introduced to the rules of admission to the school, with the charter of the institution; a form of students' clothing was also presented. As it was noted during the presentation, the educational institution should become a home for 300 young Pridnestrovians - pupils of the fifth - eighth grades from all cities and regions of the republic. At the moment, the building of Tiraspol Suvorov Military School is reconstructed.
The idea of the President Vadim Krasnoselsky to create in the city founded by the Great Russian generals, Suvorov Military School was supported by Russian colleagues. Dmitry Nesterov recalled that the Suvorov Military School is not an obligatory further military service.
A round table was held at the end of the solemn presentation in the Palace of the republic, honorary guests of which were graduates of different years of Suvorov Schools of Russia. Among them there is a graduate of the Leningrad Suvorov Military School, now a deputy of the Supreme Council Sergey Vasilyev.
