Military sports festival

The military-sports festival began with the raising of the state flags of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic and the Russian Federation. The procession of participants in the competitions was opened by the guard of honor company with the President’s standard. The soldiers of the Special Forces, the Special Motorized Military Unit of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Cossacks-frontier guards of the Ministry of State Security, representatives of the Ministry of Justice internal troops unit, as well as the soldiers of the Task Force of the Russian forces in Pridnestrovie marched along the central tribune.

The festival was attended by pupils of the Tiraspol Suvorov Military School and the Republican Cadet Corps.

Those present at the celebration were welcomed by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, the PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky.

Competitions began by throwing grenades. A participant from the Ministry of the Interior threw a grenade farthest.

The second stage of the competition is tug of war. In a bitter struggle, the team of the state security service won.

The paramilitary relay race is the only type of competition that has been unchanged since the first military sports festival. The relay race consisted of four 100-meter stages: running with a machine gun, running in a gas mask, moving a box of ammunition, running in bulletproof helmet and body armor. Faster than all the finish line was overcome by a representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs team.

Demonstration performances of the competition teams were demonstrated. A joint counter-terrorism operation of four power structures is presented. Their programs were shown by a separate special-purpose detachment of the Ministry of Defense, Suvorov, cadets and OGRV units.

The unit, which is considered to be the visiting card of our state, - the servicemen of the Guard of Honor, addressed the audience.

All the participants performed the combat song at the end of the holiday.

The President of the Republic Vadim Krasnoselsky handed the challenge cup to the team of the Ministry of the Interior. The distinguished participants of the teams were awarded diplomas of the PMR President and valuable gifts.
