Military Service in Comfortable Environment

The new cantonment building was put into operation in the Tiraspol garrison of the PMR Armed Forces. Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council Galina Antyufeyeva congratulated the servicemen. The Vice Speaker of the Parliament noted that a lot has been done in recent years to ensure that military service is held in comfortable conditions. The commissioning of the new cantonment building is one of the striking examples.

The Minister of Defense Major General Oleg Obruchkov recalled that the modernization of the army infrastructure began in 2017 for the first time in the history of the Armed Forces. It was possible to repair and reconstruct dozens of objects, to start building completely new ones for the first time. It is planned to further improve the conditions of service and update the army infrastructure, Oleg Obruchkov noted.

The new modern cantonment building was built from scratch. It is equipped with furniture, computers and sports equipment. This became possible thanks to the fact that the Ministry of Defense was included in the capital investment fund program in 2019.

Contractors and servicemen who took part in the construction were presented with letters of thanks from the President of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic. Those present inspected the new cantonment building after the official opening of the building and the consecration ceremony.
