Amendments to the law on compulsory motor third party liability insurance have been made

The Chairman of the Committee on Agro-Industrial Complex, Transport, Construction and Natural Resources Oleg Leontiev proposed to amend the law "On compulsory civil liability insurance of vehicle owners". He explained at the plenary session that the initiative is of a technical nature and concerns the possibility of eliminating damage to telecommunication networks and structures before the insurer arrives.

The law allows currently for the quick restoration of only power transmission line supports, trolleybus contact network supports and technical means of traffic management in the event of an accident. The injured party or his representative is required to take photos and videos of the property damaged in the accident in this case.

The Supreme Council adopted amendments to the law on compulsory motor third party liability insurance in two readings at once.
