Vladimir Okushko is 85

International scientific-practical conference "Stomatology - paramedicine?" was held in the Pridnestrovian State University named after T.G. Shevchenko. It was organized in honor of the 85th anniversary of Professor Vladimir Rostislavovich Okushko, the press center of the university informs.

Deputy of the PMR Supreme Council, Vladimir Pelin, congratulated Vladimir Okushko on behalf of the deputy corps and presented the professor with a certificate of honor for active professional activity and contribution to the republic.

Vladimir Okushko was congratulated On the 85th anniversary by the president of the Stomatological Academy of Russia, FDI member, consul of the European Association for Preventive and Preventive Medicine in CIS countries, colleague and comrade from the Russian Federation Vladimir Sadovsky by means of the video communication. He talked about the work and the invaluable contribution of the professor to science.

Vice-rector for scientific and innovative work of the PSU professor Elena Bomeshkina informed that soon on the basis of the medical faculty the department of stomatology will be opened, headed by Professor Vladimir Okushko.

The first report "Stomatology - Paramedicine?" sounded during the conference, was presented by the jubilee himself. Vladimir Okushko told about his scientific activity, the period of persecution of doctors during the Stalinist repressions, the emergence and formation of dentists as a separate branch of medicine.
