To owners of cars with foreign plates

Deputies of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic voted for the adoption of a package of legislations in the second final reading at the plenary session today. Amendments and additions to the Customs Code, the Code of Administrative Offenses, the laws on customs tariffs and on the road fund will affect owners of cars with foreign numbers.

We are talking about the importation of personal vehicles into the territory of Pridnestrovie and the payment of a vignette fee for using the roads of the republic. Amendments to the current legislation were presented as a legislative initiative by the Chairman of the Committee on Economic Policy, Budget and Finance Viktor Guzun. The parliamentarian mentioned that citizens of Pridnestrovie have repeatedly applied to the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic with a request to make changes and additions to the current legislation.

Other changes were also planned. A car registered in a foreign state can be used not only as a personal vehicle after the amendments and additions to a number of legislative acts come into force. Industrial or commercial transportation of people or goods will be allowed. Simply said, if a car with a foreign license plate is, owned by a Pridnestrovian entrepreneur for example, then he will be able to use it for official purposes on the basis of accepted rules.
