The Visit of the Russian Guest

Deputy of the lower house of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, journalist, political and public figure Yevgeny Primakov visited Tiraspol. He represents in the State Duma interests of the Saratov region, as well as residents of the capital of Pridnestrovie.

This is the first visit of Primakov to Tiraspol. The parliamentarian met with the leadership of the republic in the capital of Pridnestrovie, and also visited the museum of the history of elections and referenda at the CEC of the PMR. The head of the CEC Elena Gorodetskaya told the Russian guest that during the entire existence of the republic 7 national referendums took place in Pridnestrovie. She showed expositions devoted to the presidential elections of the Russian Federation and the elections to the State Duma of the 7th convocation of the Russian Federation held on March 18 of this year.

After becoming acquainted with the expositions of the Museum of the CEC of the PMR, Yevgeny Primakov thanked for the warm welcome and promised that on his next visit he would certainly meet with Pridnestrovian voters.

Elena Gorodetskaya expressed hope that Yevgeny Primakov, being "a professional, authoritative journalist, will assist in the formation of an objective understanding of what is happening in Pridnestrovie among Russian citizens".

The Russian legislator on the eve of his visit to the capital of Pridnestrovie visited the Bendery fortress, where the opening of the park named after the Grand Duke, commander, and saint of the Russian Orthodox Church Alexander Nevsky was held. Yevgeny Primakov called the historical military memorial complex a place that will attract people who value their history, culture and love their land like a magnet.
