How are things going in the negotiation process in the "5 + 2" format and what are the prospects for the development of the situation in the next year, problems with the movement of Pridnestrovian vehicles across the Ukrainian border and difficulties in obtaining Russian citizenship and exchange of passports. All these issues were submitted by the Commission on Foreign Policy and International Relations of the Supreme Council of the PMR to the final meeting in the outgoing year. Acting Head Foreign Minister of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Vitaly Ignatiev was invited to learn about the situation.
The Head of the foreign ministry emphasized that the negotiation process can be called "frozen" at the moment, since in the absence of political representative from the Republic of Moldova it is impossible to negotiate, hold meetings and discuss issues at the level of expert working groups. In addition, the entire package of previously signed agreements “Berlin+” is not being observed. The situation is aggravated by the attempt of the Moldovan authorities to interfere in internal political affairs concerning the electoral process on the territory of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic. Russian public figures were deported from the Chisinau airport who were supposed to be present in Pridnestrovie on December 12 as international observers ON the eve of the PMR presidential elections. The Moldovan authorities announced that they would not recognize the elections in Pridnestrovie. In the opinion of the PMR Ministry of Foreign Affairs, such actions contradict the principles of democracy and negatively affect all aspects of the Moldovan-Pridnestrovian relations.
According to the Head of the foreign ministry, if the measures of the "second phase" are implemented, it will affect the supply of medicines, foodstuffs, plant protection products, phytosanitary goods, manufactured goods and medical equipment to Pridnestrovie.
International experts were also involved to solve the existing problems, but the Moldovan side does not make contact and is not ready to discuss the settlement of all problematic issues. There is no one from the opposite side of the "negotiating table", stressed Vitaly Ignatiev.
The deputies asked questions that relate to the main problem that has existed since September and has affected all Pridnestrovians - the actual transport blockade.
The Head of the PMR Foreign Ministry stressed that the rights of citizens of Russia and Ukraine living in Pridnestrovie, who have exclusively Pridnestrovian driver's licenses, are violated here. In these cases, obtaining neutral numbers does not solve the problem and therefore they remain limited in freedom of movement, the possibilities of maintaining family ties and the development of entrepreneurial activity are disrupted.
The topic of protecting the rights of compatriots and citizens of the Russian Federation living in Pridnestrovie became another issue that was discussed in the course of the meeting of the Commission on Foreign Policy and International Relations.
