An exhibition of graphic design was opened in Tiraspol. Its organizer is the President of the Union of Designers of Pridnestrovie Vladimir Galanin. The exhibition participants were greeted by the Vice-Speaker of Parliament, Chairman of the “Renewal” Republican Party Galina Antyufeyeva and Deputy of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Ilona Tyuryaeva.

The opening of the exhibition-competition took place as part of the events dedicated to the 100th anniversary of Ilya Bogdesko, People's Artist of the USSR, academician of the USSR Academy of Arts, laureate of the State Prize of the MSSR, brilliant graphic artist, native of the village of Butuchany, Rybnitsa region. The “Renewal” Republican Party contributed to the popularization of the work of the artist Ilya Bogdesko and dedicated a number of cultural and educational events to him for students and schoolchildren as part of the party educational project “My Great Countrymen.”

The author of this project, parliamentarian Ilona Tyuryaeva, thanked the exhibition participants for their creativity, which “was passed through the soul, through the prism of the knowledge of design masters and thanks to this became understandable and close to people”.

"Design is design." This is the name of the exhibition-competition, the first of its kind. It was opened in the Art Gallery of Tiraspol. The exhibition presents more than 50 works by authors from all over the republic. These are representatives of the Union of Designers of Pridnestrovie, as well as designers from advertising agencies, design studios, and young talents. All of them presented trademarks, logos, signs, and printed products of their own design. Some of the exhibited works are well known to the residents of Pridnestrovie. After all, they are not only in the exhibition hall, but also on the labels of your favorite Pridnestrovian-made products, in the familiar mobile applications and on billboards on the streets of our cities.

“Design is Design” is not just an exhibition, but an exhibition-competition. Therefore, all works were evaluated in several categories. Commemorative diplomas were prepared for the participants.

They said at the opening of the exhibition that Pridnestrovian designers, whose names have long been known to many, make our republic bright and recognizable. The works of masters Gennady Salcutan, Dmitry Ungureanu, representatives of the Galanin dynasty keep pace with world trends in design.

The exhibition, as planned by the organizers, was supposed to unite designers-thinkers, designers-creators and designers-performers in order to demonstrate how talent, creativity and devotion allow Pridnestrovian design to correspond to world trends in this field. This was ultimately achieved, according to the President of the Union of Designers of Pridnestrovie Vladimir Galanin.

The exhibition “Design is Design” will be open at the Tiraspol Art Gallery until October 8.
