Payment of allowances to doctors for the category

The Supreme Council adopted in two readings law-in-draft concerning allowances for the qualification category of medical workers on December 11. The Government proposed maintaining the payment in the event of a transfer to another specialty in the healthcare system. The initiative was supported by the deputies, taking into account the amendments of the Committee on Social Policy and Healthcare.

The amendments of the Committee will establish that if a medical worker is appointed to a management position or a deputy position, then the allowance for the category is retained for 3 years. If a medical worker transfers to another position of a specialist in the field of healthcare, then the payment will be until the end of the validity period of the existing qualification category.

The adopted amendments to the law "On the salaries of budgetary sector employees, the monetary allowance of military personnel and persons equivalent to them in terms of payment of monetary allowance, the monetary allowance of state civil servants" will enter into force the day after the official publication. Similar amendments concerning the payment of allowances for the category were adopted by the Supreme Council in the field of education at the end of last year.
