December 12 is an important day in the life of every Pridnestrovian. The deputies of the Supreme Council speak about why it is necessary to take part in the elections of the President of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic.
“Dear friends, on December 12 the elections of the President of our country will be held. The elections are taking place in a not very calm atmosphere around Pridnestrovie. Some Western "hawks" even started talking about the need to destroy, as they consider, our republic. The best answer is our active participation in the decision of our own destiny. You and I will not be too mistaken if we assume that the Russian Federation, our mighty ally, expects activity from us. Why? Because it is always easier to defend those who seek to defend themselves and their country. This protection happens not only on the battlefield, but at polling stations of course, where we ourselves decide our fate. Therefore, I would like to say only one thing - on the 12th of December we meet at the polling stations”, said the deputy of the Supreme Soviet Andrei Safonov.
“Humanity has come to the conclusion that citizens should participate in governing the state through elections in the process of the formation of states. This right is declared by the Constitution. We are no exception. Therefore, you do not need to sit at home. We ask all citizens to come to the polling stations, show their civic position and make their choice, so that the world community can assess that we have a law in force, we have a civil society”, said the deputy of the Supreme Council Sergei Cheban to the Pridnestrovians.
“December 12 is not just the Day of elections of the PMR President, it is another historical stage in the history of our young republic. The Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic has always lived in a difficult situation: in 1992, when it was necessary to defend our statehood with arms in hand, in conditions of icing, droughts, and an economic blockade, in which we still have to live. Your personal arrival at the polling stations will allow our republic to continue to live and develop. To date, we are faced with a coronavirus infection. All conditions for the safety of our citizens will be created at the polling stations. Once again I urge everyone to go to the elections and make their choice for the future of Pridnestrovie”, emphasized the deputy of the Supreme Council Vadim Kravchuk.
