The Supreme Council in the course of the plenary meeting approved the cost estimate for organizing and conducting elections of deputies to the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic of the VIII convocation. The elections will take place on November 30, 2025. Previously, the document was considered at a meeting of the Central Election Commission of the PMR; the head of the Central Election Commission of the PMR Stanislav Kasap presented it to the deputies.
Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Alexander Korshunov emphasized that the Supreme Council, understanding the difficulties in forming the revenue side of the republican budget, together with the Central Election Commission, optimized expenses for the upcoming parliamentary elections.
Elections to the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic have been held once every 5 years since November 1990. A Single Voting Day has been established since 2015 at the end of November – on November 29, 2015, Pridnestrovians, for the first time in the history of the state, elected on the same day deputies of the Supreme Council, city and district Councils of People's Deputies, village Councils and heads of administrations of villages and towns.
The VII convocation of the Pridnestrovian parliament was elected in the elections on November 29, 2020. The interests of voters in the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic are represented by 33 deputies (from 2000 to 2020 - 43 deputies) since the VII (current) convocation. The next parliamentary elections in Pridnestrovie will be held on November 30, 2025.
