Regular meeting of the Consultative Assembly of the first Pridnestrovian deputies under the Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic was held.
On the agenda is the foreign policy situation around our state. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Vitaly Ignatiev told about it to the first Pridnestrovian deputies. He noted that Pridnestrovie will always adhere to the position of peaceful dialogue and constructive solution of existing problems.
According to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic, one of the factors contributing to the growth of tension in the region is the relationship with the Republic of Moldova. Serious problems in the negotiation process arose long ago. A number of social and humanitarian issues remain unresolved.
Commenting on the situation around Pridnestrovie, the First President of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic, Chairman of the Consultative Assembly Igor Smirnov noted that the negotiation process is the basis for a peaceful life.
The deputies of the first convocations of Parliament asked questions of concern to them and the public. Vladimir Rylyakov raised in particular one of the most urgent problems – the work of the exit consular post of the Russian Federation and the difficulties with renewing passports.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs noted that today the work of the consular office is far from normal. There are often difficulties in the mechanism of electronic appointments. A number of problems have accumulated that remain unresolved. According to Vitaly Ignatiev, this issue is a priority in relations with Russia today.
The members of the Consultative Assembly decided to make their own statement on the problem of consular services for Russian citizens in Pridnestrovie. The text of the statement will be prepared and sent to the leadership of the Russian Federation, as well as to Russian parties, social movements and the media. The first deputies proposed to make similar statements to the Supreme Council and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic.
Vladimir Labunsky added that the statement could also reflect all the socio-economic problems that Pridnestrovie is facing at this stage.
The founders of the republic drew attention to the need to strengthen interaction with the regions of Russia and Russian public organizations. The main work in this direction should be entrusted to the Official Representation of the PMR in Moscow. Assistance can be provided by Pridnestrovian public organizations.
The next meeting is scheduled for August, the first deputies will discuss the reaction to the statement, as well as the main problems in Pridnestrovie and around.
