Veterans are an example of courage and morality

The reporting conference of the "Veterans of War, Labor and Armed Forces of Pridnestrovie" Republican public organization was held today in the "Veteran" capital club. The event was attended by the PMR Supreme Council Deputy Andrey Safonov. The main topic of the conference is summing up the results of the last year.

According to the Chairman Svetlana Bakhchevan, the "Veterans of War, Labor and Armed Forces of Pridnestrovie" Republican public organization includes 8 structural divisions and has more than 20 thousand people throughout the republic.

The Head of the organization Svetlana Bakhchevan noted that 2020 was marked by the preparation and holding of events dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the Great Victory.

Memorial plaque to the Afghan warrior Pavel Chaban was erected in Parkany. Burial sites and memorials were restored in Rybnitsa. The Museum of Military Glory was opened in Dnestrovsk. It contains unique exhibits that tell about the war in Afghanistan and the Great Patriotic War.

The organization cooperates with legislative and executive authorities. They work to protect the rights and interests of veterans. For example, members of the organization who had recovered from COVID-19 were allocated money for the rehabilitation.
