Veteran of war and border troops Petr Savelyev celebrated his 95th anniversary

Veteran of the Great Patriotic War Petr Ivanovich Savelyev lives in Tiraspol in the Oktyabrsky microdistrict. At the beginning of the week, on the 4th of October he celebrated his 95th anniversary. The veteran received warm wishes and sincere congratulations on his birthday from the deputies of the Supreme Council Andrei Mezhinsky and the Tiraspol City Council Irina Burlachenko.

Petr Savelyev put on his military uniform at the age of 17, and spent almost 40 years of his life serving in the army. In the biography of the veteran, there are bright moments from the service in Transcarpathia, where immediately after the war, Petr Savelyev was assigned to the border troops, in the Far East and the island of Sakhalin, where he led the border outpost for 18 years. All the veteran's memories are kept in memoirs. The album with photographs is like a chronicle of life, so that children and grandchildren remember not only their famous grandfather, but also the history of a large country, whose borders were guarded by Petr Ivanovich, the press service of the Ministry of State Security of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic tells the story of the hero of the day.
