Pridnestrovie celebrates the spring of liberation. The Red Army 77 years ago liberated Tiraspol, Dubossary and Grigoriopol districts from the German fascist invaders. The long-awaited freedom of the Pridnestrovian cities and villages received at the final stage of the Odessa offensive operation. The military operations were successfully carried out by the troops of the III Ukrainian Front.
The PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky, Chairman of the Supreme Council Alexander Korshunov, the Government leaders, veterans of the Great Patriotic War at the Memorial of Glory in Tiraspol honored the memory of the fallen soldiers-liberators. The ceremony was attended by representatives of the OGRV in Pridnestrovie, heads of the state administration and city council of Tiraspol, clergy. Fresh flowers were laid at the Eternal Flame and the graves of heroes who did not return from the war.
The spring of 1944 was the time of the large-scale liberation of the territory of the Soviet Union by the Red Army. The occupiers were expelled from our land, and a peaceful life began this April day 77 years ago. The price of liberation was great - thousands of Soviet soldiers fell on the battlefield. Their names are immortalized on the Memorials of Glory in the cities and villages of Pridnestrovie.

April 12 is a significant date in the history of Slobozeya. The city was liberated from the Nazi invaders 77 years ago. The memory of the heroes who fell during the Great Patriotic War was honored in Slobodzeya according to tradition today. Solemn events were held at the Memorial of Glory and at the memorial sign installed in honor of the soldiers of the 37th Army who liberated Slobodzeya in 1944. Deputy of the Supreme Council Pavel Shinkaryuk, city and district leaders, deputies of the Slobodzeya City Council took part in the commemorative events. Those present paid tribute to the memory of the heroes and laid flowers at the eternal flame.
The Day of Liberation was celebrated on the eve in Dnestrovsk. Flowers were laid at the memorial stele erected in honor of the Soviet soldiers-liberators on April 9.
