Commemorative events dedicated to the anniversary of the liberation from the Nazis were held in the settlements of the Slobodzeya district on the 11th and on the 12th of April. Residents of the district gathered in sacred places to honor the memory of the soldiers who gave their lives for the freedom of these lands, the website of the State Administration of Slobodzeya reports.
"Let there be peace" meeting was held in the center of the Moldovan part of Slobodzeya today. Leaders of the city and district, representatives of all organizations and institutions, as well as residents and students of local schools gathered at the Arch of the Memorial of Glory. Deputy of the PMR Supreme Council Pavel Shinkaryuk addressed the residents of the city with words of congratulations.

The 78th anniversary of the liberation from the German-Romanian invaders was also celebrated today in the Grigoriopol region. "Remembers the city that April" solemn meeting was held at the "Grieving Mother" Memorial Complex. It was attended by the leadership of the state administration, the Council of People's Deputies, representatives of public organizations, paramilitary groups and labor collectives, residents and guests of the city.
The memory of the fallen soldiers-liberators was honored with a minute of silence. The meeting participants laid flowers at the Mass Grave and the portrait sculptures of the Heroes of the Soviet Union, writes the website of the State Administration of Grigoriopol.

Commemorative events were also held in Dubossary today. A solemn rally was held at the Memorial of Military Glory. It was attended by the leaders of the city and the region, deputies of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Oleg Bayev and Boris German, representatives of public organizations and law enforcement agencies, as well as local schoolchildren.
Participants in the liberation of the city and the region laid the Alley of Liberators on Victory Square in Dubossary on the 12th of April, 1984. Since then, grateful residents of Dubossary come here to honor the memory of the soldiers who died for the freedom of their native land with tears in their eyes every year.
