Members of the Presidium of the Supreme Council gathered for their first working meeting in the new year. It was chaired by Alexander Korshunov. Lawmakers discussed a number of legislations included to the agendas of upcoming plenary meetings. The legislations prepared by members of the Committee on Legislation, Law Enforcement Agencies, Defense, Security, Peacekeeping, Protection of the Rights and Freedoms of Citizens have been prepared for consideration in the second reading. As explained by the Head of the committee Galina Antyufeyeva, we are talking about introducing amendments to the Code of Criminal Procedure.
A number of legislations, developed by members of the relevant committee are amending the Marriage and Family Code and the Law on Bailiffs.The first plenary meeting, which will open the spring session of the Supreme Council of the VI convocation, is scheduled for January 22.
At the end of the meeting, a member of the deliberative meeting of the first Pridnestrovian deputies, the Head of the United Work Collective Council PMR Vladimir Emelyanov presented the booklet “Clay Karmanovo Kolosovo” to the legislators, which tells about the history of the Pridnestrovian villages. Their founders at the end of the 18th century were peasants from the inner provinces of Russia and German colonists. In accordance with the manifesto of the Russian Empress Catherine II, they secured a number of benefits for them, provided land, and loans. This allowed the creation of large agricultural communities here.
In connection with these, he appealed to the deputies with a request to assist in the development of this area at the legislative level.
