Today, deputies approved presidential decree on the introduction of state of emergency on the territory of Pridnestrovie. This issue was the only one on the agenda of the first emergency session of the VI convocation. The decree was signed on March 16 to prevent the spread of coronavirus infection.

At the beginning of the meeting, Minister of Health Alexei Tsurcan informed the deputies about the situation with the spread of coronavirus in the world. Cases of infection were confirmed in 154 countries: 198 thousand people fell ill, 8 thousand of them died from complications. The top five countries in terms of the number of cases are China, Italy, Iran, Spain and Germany. Alexei Tsurcan focused on the situation in neighboring states: Ukraine - 14 cases of coronavirus infection and 2 deaths, Moldova - 30 cases and 1 death. On March 17, the Parliament of Moldova introduced a state of emergency in the country until May 15. Administrative responsibility and criminal liability for violation of preventive measures and the intentional spread of coronavirus are provided.

There are no cases of coronavirus infection in our republic today. 5 people under suspicion: three from Rybnitsa, and from Tiraspol and one from Bendery. Medical tests were sent to the Chisinau laboratory. The results will be known today by evening, said the head of the relevant department.

Deputies of the Health Committee wondered: how are doctors provided with protective equipment, are there medical masks and medical overalls. Minister of Economic Development Sergei Obolonik said: Tirotex, Odema and Vestra enterprises began to sew fabric masks.

Masks will be made available to the operational headquarters - for medical personnel, law enforcement officials and border and customs services. Then reusable masks of Pridnestrovian production will be directed for sale. The cost of one is 4 rubles.

Minister of Internal Affairs Ruslan Mova told deputies about preventive measures. Since March 2, he has led the operational headquarters for the prevention and prevention of the spread of coronavirus infection.

The deputies of the Supreme Council were interested in questions about how entrepreneurs would work and earn income in a state of emergency, how people would get to work due to the new public transport schedule, and whether there was enough food and medicine.

President Vadim Krasnoselsky emphasized: grain and flour reserves in the republic will be enough for two years, and the supply of goods and food products does not stop. Borders are open for freight carriers. Working group will be created to minimize business losses. It will include deputies of the Supreme Council, members of the Government, entrepreneurs and representatives of banks.

The President Vadim Krasnoselsky called the introduction of state of emergency in the republic for 19 days - until April 5 - a necessary measure. They are aimed at maintaining the health of people. The President urged Pridnestrovians to observe quarantine and follow the norms of the state of emergency. He noted: if necessary, the emergency mode will be extended.
