The Parliament approved the Equal Opportunities State Program for 2025-2027

26.03.2025

The deputy corps approved the Equal Opportunities State Program for 2025-2027 in the second final reading, aimed at improving the quality of life of people with disabilities. A similar program was already in effect in the republic from 2019 to 2022. The new project was developed by the Government last year.

One of the main areas of the state program is the formation of an accessible environment, the creation of conditions for free movement and access for disabled people to social infrastructure facilities: kindergartens, schools, technical schools, colleges, libraries and cultural centers. It is planned to install ramps, support rails on the stairs and radio call buttons, as well as modernize the sanitary facilities.

Thus, ramps will be installed in one of the main Pridnestrovian health resorts - the health complex "Dnistrovskie Zori" within the framework of the state program. 102 disabled people underwent health improvement there in 2024 on discounted vouchers according to the Ministry of Social Protection and Labor.

It is also planned to hold cultural and leisure events for disabled people of various ages and improve the qualifications of teachers working with children with disabilities.

7.9 million rubles in total are supposed to be allocated to finance the state program. Of these, 5.4 million rubles will be allocated from the republican budget, and 2.5 million rubles – from local budgets of cities and districts.

The draft state program was adopted in the second final reading in the course of the plenary session. It was planned initially that the program would begin this year, however it was decided to postpone its launch until January 1, 2026, given the difficult economic situation in the republic.
