Weekly meeting of the Parliamentary Presidium took place in the Supreme Council. The heads of the Committees and Commissions of the Supreme Council, led by Speaker Alexander Korshunov, determined the date of the next plenary meeting and filled out the agenda of the plenary meeting on July 3.
The deputy corps will consider the draft new law “On the internal affairs bodies of the PMR” and the associated package of bills on amending the existing laws of the republic tomorrow. The legislations and amendments to it were prepared for adoption in the second reading by the Committee on Legislation, Protection of the Rights and Freedoms of Citizens. The Supreme Council will adopt in the second final reading a package of legislations that will allow students called up for compulsory military service to study at a university according to an individual plan if there is no correspondence or evening department in their specialty on July 3.
The Committee on Economic Policy, Budget and Finance submitted for consideration in the first reading the Forecast of socio-economic development of Pridnestrovie for 2025, prepared by the Government. Parliamentarians will be presented with reports on the implementation in 2023 of a number of state target programs: “Support and development of entrepreneurship in the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic” for 2023-2027, “Support and development of tourism in the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic” for 2019-2026, “Preferential lending to citizens of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic who were participants in military operations to defend the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic and participants in combat operations in Afghanistan in the period from April 1978 to February 15, 1989, who had not previously participated in the preferential lending program for the period 2021–2026”. The PMR Accounts Chamber will report to the Supreme Council on its activities in 2023. The deputy corps will consider in total more than 30 issues at the plenary meeting on July 3.
The next plenary meeting of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic is scheduled for July 10.
