Persons caring for a child under 14 years of age with tuberculosis will receive a childcare allowance for the entire period of treatment – outpatient and inpatient of a medical institution. Until now, the period for the payment of benefits for temporary incapacity for work in the need to care for a sick child was limited to 90 calendar days. At the same time, the treatment of a resistant form of tuberculosis requires at least 18–20 months, experts say. The child is first treated in a hospital, then transferred to outpatient treatment. In this case, it is necessary to take medications and monitor the child's condition in the course of treatment. The deputies of the Supreme Council adopted in the second final reading amendments to the law "On the provision of benefits for temporary disability, pregnancy and childbirth of citizens subject to state social insurance". They will come into force on January 1, 2022. The economic justification for the bill notes that in 2018–2020, there were only 2 cases of issuance of certificates of incapacity for work to care for a child with tuberculosis under the age of 14 in medical institutions.
Parliamentarians in the course of the plenary session today adopted in the final reading a draft law that regulates pensions in the event of loss of a breadwinner and leads to a uniform application of legislation in this area. For example, the amendments adopted today to a number of laws establish that persons who have been found guilty of the death of a breadwinner by the court are not entitled to such a pension. Minor children of the deceased, if the court did not recognize them as legally capable (if they have not reached the age of 18 or have not married), will receive a pension, and disabled parents or spouses, if they have lost their means of subsistence, will receive a pension if they prove that they were dependent on the deceased.
The adaptive quarantine in Pridnestrovie has been extended until the end of 2021. The Supreme Council today adopted in two readings at once the corresponding changes in a number of legislative acts of the republic. The Parliament Speaker Alexander Korshunov noted that statistics show an increase in the number of COVID-19 cases in the republic. In addition, there are more severe cases of the course of the disease, therefore quarantine measures must be observed. Quarantine measures involve wearing protective masks in public places and transport, maintaining social distance, regularly ventilating the premises and disinfecting hands.
The calendar of memorable dates has been replenished in Pridnestrovie. Today, parliamentarians voted for the resolution of the Supreme Council on the introduction of two new dates in the calendar. November 3 in the republic will be considered the day of the establishment of the institution of the Commissioner for Human Rights in the PMR, and August 7 is the day of the establishment of the PMR Accounts Chamber.
