The PMR Supreme Council completed its autumn session

The final 12th plenary meeting of the VI session of the VII convocation of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic took place on the 21st of December. The Pridnestrovian Parliament completed its work in the autumn session.

Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Alexander Korshunov said after considering all the issues on the agenda that in the autumn session the parliament held 12 plenary meetings and 18 meetings of the Presidium.

the Supreme Council received 228 legislative initiatives during the VI session, 17 of them were presented by the President of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic, 128 by the Government, deputies of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic initiated 65 legislations. Amendments to the current legislation were initiated by the PMR Prosecutor, the Supreme and Arbitration Courts, and the city councils of Bendery and Tiraspol.

The Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic during the VI session adopted 153 laws of the PMR in the final reading, and 125 legislations in the first reading.

In total, the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic considered 356 issues and adopted 356 resolutions on them in the autumn session. Deputies considered and made decisions on 952 amendments in the process of adopting laws and parliamentary resolutions.

Parliamentarians will gather for a plenary session in January 2024 and will open the VII session of the VII convocation of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic.
