The PMR Supreme Council completed the autumn session

The PMR Supreme Council closed the IV session of the VII convocation today, December 21. Chairman of the Supreme Council Alexander Korshunov announced the results of the autumn session at the end of the plenary session, which lasted about 3 hours.

The Pridnestrovian Parliament held 15 plenary sessions, 4 emergency sessions and 24 meetings of the Presidium from September 7 to December 21. During this period, 214 legislative initiatives were submitted to the Supreme Council for consideration. 9 legislations were submitted by the President of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic, 122 – by the Government, 71 – by the deputies of the Supreme Council. The parliament considered legislative initiatives of the PMR Prosecutor, the Supreme Court, the Councils of People's Deputies of the city of Bendery and the Dubossary region. The deputies of the committees and commissions prepared 12 official clarifications at the request of the authorities.

The Supreme Council during the autumn session adopted 372 issues, on which 372 resolutions were adopted and signed.

120 laws were signed by the President of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic and published on the official website.

The Speaker of the Parliament noted that a lot of work has been done.

Work at working meetings and in committees in the autumn session continued on preparations for the second reading of the Budget Code, as well as on the search for legislative solutions to abandoned non-residential buildings and the fight against debtors for utility bills. Amendments and additions to tax laws were adopted during the autumn session. The 2023 budget has been formed and adopted taking into account changes in tax legislation that will come into force on January 1.
