The Supreme Council deputies will gather for the 1st emergency meeting of the autumn session on the 11th of December. This decision was made today in the course of the parliamentary Presidium meeting in connection with the unstable situation on the energy market and the possible termination of natural gas supplies to the republic.
The heads of the parliamentary Committees and Commissions supported the speaker's proposal. Thus, the Supreme Council deputies will consider and approve in the course of the 1st emergency meeting of the autumn session tomorrow the Decree of the President of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic on the introduction of a special legal regime in Pridnestrovie – a state of emergency economic situation. The state of emergency in the economy is being introduced to take a number of measures that will help prevent a critical drop in production, "stagnation underloading of production capacities, uncontrolled development of stagflationary processes, destabilizing economic violations in the monetary and foreign exchange and financial spheres, and ensuring prompt implementation of measures aimed at eliminating circumstances that create a real threat to the life of the population and the state" in connection with a possible reduction (cessation) of natural gas supplies to Pridnestrovie.
The next plenary session of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic will be held tomorrow, on the 11th of December.
