Benjamin Potashev.
He was born in 1928 in the village Zaschele Arkhangelsk region. He began his career in 1941 at a local farm. In 1966 he graduated from the Sverdlovsk Mining Institute. Had been working in the mine Kirovgradsky copper plant in the Sverdlovsk region for more than twenty years as a shift supervisor, site, department, chief engineer, chief of mine.
In 1972 he moved to Tiraspol, he was a deputy chief engineer, chief of section PP "Hydromechanization". From 1974 to 1983 - inspector, foreman "power company", and then worked at the Tiraspol refrigeration plant.
He was an active participant in the political struggle against nationalism, against the infringement of the rights of Russian-speaking population. In August 1989 he was elected as a member of the STC plant UCWC Tiraspol, member of the Presidium of the city and the national strike committee.
He was elected a deputy of the city of Tiraspol, the Supreme Council of the Moldavian SSR, the Supreme Council PMSSR (1990-1995).
Being at the head, and as part of Pridnestrovian delegations in various cities and regions of the Russian Federation he was working hard to break through the information, the economic blockade of Pridnestrovie.
