A native of the village of Doibany-1, a veteran of three wars Ivan Timofeevich Kolbas today celebrates the hundredth birthday. Soldier-infantryman Ivan Kolbas participated in the Soviet-Finnish, Great Patriotic War and the war with Japan. He stood on the first line of defense of the Dubossary district in Dorotsk in 1941. He liberated from the fascists not only his native village, but also the countries of Europe with the troops of the Soviet army in 1944.

Family, relatives, fellow villagers came to congratulate Ivan Timofeevich, as well as honorary guests - President Vadim Krasnoselsky, Supreme Council deputy Oleg Bayev, head of the administration of the Dubossary district and the city of Dubossary Ruslan Chaban.

Ivan Kolbas was awarded the Order of the Patriotic War II degree, the Order of Glory III degree, medals "For Courage", "For Victory over Germany", "For Victory over Japan". Today the Order of Honor was added to the existing awards. Ivan Kolbas received it from the hands of the President Vadim Krasnoselsky.

The veteran on behalf of the Supreme Council was congratulated by the deputy for electoral district No. 12 Oleg Bayev. The parliamentarian conveyed a greeting address from the speaker Alexander Shcherba.

Ivan Timofeevich is the head of a large family. He raised two daughters and three sons, nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren. All of them are proud of their famous grandfather, they try to take an example and dream of living the same long and honest life.
