The current press conference, which was held by the President Vadim Krasnoselsky following the results of the outgoing year, has one distinguishing feature - the President presented the Pridnestrovian Development Strategy for the next 8 years. Therefore, the presence of members of the Presidium of the Supreme Council, the Government, and representatives of the Government was not accidental.

The creation of this strategic document is a collective work. The development strategy of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic for the period from 2019 to 2026 is based on three basic principles: political stability, economic self-sufficiency and social justice. An important aspect of the document consisting of five sections is the national idea of ​​ Pridnestrovie, which was first formulated within its framework. It, in turn, is based on strengthening independence, striving for international recognition and implementation of the results of the 2006 referendum, continuing the formation of the “Pridnestrovian people” community, as well as building a socially oriented state with market economy.

In the course of the dialogue with the authorities, the President elaborated on the main points of the strategic document that made up the sections of the Strategy: current situation, risks and challenges; political stability; economic self-sufficiency; social justice; regional policy.

Touching on relations with neighboring countries, Russia, the European Union countries, Vadim Krasnoselsky assured that Pridnestrovie will build good relations with everyone.

Vadim Krasnoselsky stated that the basis of the Strategy is the development of all spheres of life, and the republic has everything for that. The President particularly focused on the creation of conditions for investment in the economy of Pridnestrovie.

At the same time, the President recalled the participation of ambassadors of 18 European countries in the presentation of investment legislation of the PMR in June of this year, how they reacted to the unprecedented privileges granted to investors at the legislative level, how they admired the technical potential of the leading enterprises of the real sector of the economy. All this was not in vain - currently there are 24 investment projects from 12 countries in operation.

The growth of the economy was evidenced by the growth of foreign trade turnover by 30% compared with the figure for 2017, the creation of more than 5 thousand jobs in the real sector of the economy, an increase in tax payments to the budget and extra-budgetary funds.

This goal is also served by the capital investment program. 150 social infrastructure facilities were repaired and built in the current year. The program will last for the next three years. It is planned during this time to put in order 500-600 social and cultural facilities.

All this is also for young people who should remain in the republic, work for its benefit. In the context of this installation, the President spoke about the measures for securing young people in their native lands: a tripartite agreement on working off at the place of distribution by those specialists who received education at the expense of the budget, the implementation of an affordable housing program, social support for young people and its involvement in the affairs of the state.

The questions asked by journalists related to the attractiveness of Pridnestrovie for investors and tourists, the upcoming elections in neighboring states, the telecommunications sector, the ongoing negotiations with Moldova, the prospects for relations with the Russian Federation, the improvement of our settlements.

Interesting was the last question of journalists.
