During the visit of the parliamentary delegation to the Russian capital there was held a meeting of the Chairman of the meeting of the Supreme Council of PMR Vadim Krasnoselsky and State Secretary - Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Grigory Karasin.
They discussed various aspects of cooperation between Russia and Pridnestrovie at the bilateral and regional levels in the course of the lengthy conversation. Commitment to the development of cooperation with our republic in socio-economic, scientific-technical, cultural, humanitarian and other spheres was reaffirmed from the Russian side.
The Supreme Council Chairman Vadim Krasnoselsky noted the importance of constructive dialogue aimed at finding effective solutions to the existing problems. The head of the supreme representative body of the republic paid special attention to the historical community of peoples of Russia and Pridnestrovie, the inextricable link that exists between our states.
Vadim Krasnoselsky presented a number of specific proposals that could enhance the effectiveness of cooperation between Russia and Pridnestrovie to Russian interlocutor, including in the context of the challenges that arise in connection with the new socio-economic reality (in 2014 Moldova and Ukraine are linked by new commitments to European Union, who are trying to extend to Pridnestrovie). Chairman of the Supreme Council PMR drew attention to the practical aspects relating to the access of Pridnestrovian and Moldovan goods on the Russian market.
The Russian side supported the idea of the feasibility of expanding the Supreme Council of Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic of inter-parliamentary contacts with representative bodies of other countries, while noting with appreciation the willingness of Pridnestrovian parliament coordinate the appropriate steps with the authorized representatives of the Russian Federation. Russian Deputy Foreign Minister emphasized the importance of openness of Pridnestrovie in the international markets, including the "5 + 2" format and others.
At the end of the meeting the head of the legislative body of Pridnestrovie thanked the High Representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry for the consistently high level of Russia's involvement in regional processes for responsible and consistent implementation of Russian Federation of a difficult mission guarantor and mediator in the Moldavian-Pridnestrovian settlement.
