Vadim Krasnoselsky, "Thank you that the state was established"

March 2 was included in the PMR history as the date of the beginning of large-scale aggression of Moldova against Pridnestrovian people. This day 24 years ago the Moldovan authorities have made the third attempt to take the city of Dubossary. In 1990 and 1991 the city was twice attacked by Moldovan police special units. 2 March 1992, militia major Igor Sipchenko was mortally wounded - the first head of the Dubasari militia station, and 18-year-old Don Cossack Mikhail Zubkov was killed. At the beginning of the spring 92 civil defense regiment of the 14th Russian Army, stationed in the village Cocieri was struck by the first blow Moldovan police. Local activists of the Narodny Front of Moldova were armed with captured weapons. Blocked Russian servicemen and their families were liberated by the rescue soldiers of the Republican Guard of Pridnestrovie. After some fights Moldovan police were forced to leave the territory of the garrison. This was the beginning of the active phase of the Moldovan-Pridnestrovian conflict, which lasted from March to August 1992.

In memory of the sad date of the Memorial of Glory in the capital deputies of the Supreme Council, defenders of the republic, representatives of public organizations moment of silence dead comrades.

The first President of PMR Igor Smirnov addressed the participants of the 1992 tragic for the republic events.

The Parliament Speaker Vadim Krasnoselsky on behalf of the Supreme Council and himself, expressed gratitude the defenders of the republic for the heroism and the ability to establish the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic.

Fresh flowers were laid at the memorial plaque with the names of fallen soldiers.
