The Supreme Council deputies in the first reading adopted legislations designed to resolve the issue of mismanaged buildings and non-residential premises, which not only worsen the appearance of cities, but also pose a danger to others. Changes to the Civil Code and "On Local Authorities, Local Self-Government and State Administration in the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic" were proposed by the Government.
“We are talking about the fact that local authorities will receive additional tools so that they can use them to bring the issue of mismanaged buildings to a state where they can go to court. The court will have tools with which it will make decisions on the seizure or refusal to seize such property”, explained deputy head of the Committee on Regional Policy Anton Onufrienko.
Deputies of the profile committee will finalize the law-in-draft and make amendments to the second reading. As the parliamentarians emphasize, the problem of abandoned buildings is very complex, so it is necessary to adopt a clear, comprehensive mechanism for solving it.
