The Parliamentary Committee on Agro-Industrial Complex, Industry, Housing and Communal Services, Transport, Construction and Natural Resources has begun to study and consider the draft law sent to the Supreme Council by the President of the PMR in the mode of legislative necessity. The initiative concerns amendments to the law on state support measures during the period of emergency and quarantine. The draft law provides for the extension of this year until December 31, the deadline for payment of tax from vehicle owners for public road transport organizations that carry out regular transportation of passengers and luggage. During 2020 and 2021, technical inspection of vehicles is carried out without presentation of receipt (payment orders) for payment, the draft law says.
According to the parliamentarian, such a measure during a pandemic and quarantine measures will be a kind of tax aid for companies that transport passengers and luggage.
The Committee on Agro-Industrial Complex, Industry and Transport plans to consider the legislative initiative of the PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky in the course of the meeting next week to recommend it to the Supreme Council for adoption in the first reading. The law will apply to legal relations that arose from January 1, 2021after adoption and signing.
