Education - is in the spotlight

As it was explained by the Minister of Education Tatiana Loginova in the course of held today plenary session, currently the State Service for Registration and Notary directs candidates to obtain licenses and implementation of educational activities in the Ministry of Education that the staff conducted a special examination. However, the current legislation does not provide it. In connection with this the rights of license applicants are violated. The Government developed amendments to the law "On education", according to which the certificate of compliance of the educational institutions of the State educational standards should be prepared in MOE. The head of the relevant ministry Tatiana Loginova emphasized: in case of adoption of the law-in-draft the citizens can exercise their rights to quality education, to receive a document about the level of education, which gives the right to continue training and employment.

The law-in-draft was supported by the deputies in the first reading. The same fate awaited another legislative initiative on education. Deputies of the Supreme Council Mikhail Burla, Vitaly Kalin, Oleg Khorzhan offer a number of amendments to the Labour Code. The law-in-draft concerns the guarantees and compensations to employees combining work with education. Parliamentarians, by analogy with the Russian legislation, proposes to expand the category of persons entitled to certain guarantees of the state, in particular, to add competitors of a scientific degree of candidate or doctor of sciences. According to the chairman of the profile parliamentary committee Mikhail Burla, currently there are practically no standards to support highly qualified personnel in the legislation of the Republic. This law-in-draft was designed to remedy the situation.
