27.06.2025

More than 18 billion kW/h electricity has been developed by the Dubossary hydroelectric power station for 70 years of its history. The hydroelectric power station supply electricity to thousands of houses, as well as enterprises and social objects of Pridnestrovie. The Dubossary Hydroelectric Party team celebrates the anniversary of the enterprise on the 28th of June: 70 years from the date of completion of the construction and exit of the station for design capacity. It was at the end of June 1955 that the fourth, last, generator was commissioned.

Happy birthday to the staff of the hydroelectric power station, the deputy chairman of the Supreme Council Galina Antyufev and deputies Sergey Cheban, Ruslan Gareev, Oleg Levitev, Vadim Levitsky, Sergey Pisarenko, the Government Chairman Alexander Rosenberg, the first President of the PMR, representatives of Pridnestrovian enterprises, organizations, and public persons came to congratulate the Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council.

Congratulations and wishes sounded from the stage of the Palace of the Republic. First of all, the team was congratulated by the director of the State Unitary Enterprise Dubossarskaya hydroelectric power station and the deputy of the Supreme Council Boris German. He noted that the hydroelectric power station became the starting point for the creation of the energy system of the Moldavian SSR.

The celebration was especially noted by veterans and labor dynasties. The German family is one of the longest dynasties in the history of the hydroelectric power station: the total work experience of its members is more than 100 years. Boris German has gone in 1987, from an electrician to the director of the enterprise. The dynasty itself began with his parents, who met at the grandiose construction site of the 1950s and played a wedding a month before the launch of the first unit.

The construction of the Dubossary hydroelectric power station began in 1950, only 5 years after the most destructive war in history. The equipment was brought from all over the Soviet Union. It was necessary to relocate people from fifty collective farms, re-build villages, and create infrastructure to implement a grandiose project – colossal in volume and labor costs. About 400 million Soviet rubles were spent on all this, which in the equivalent today would amount to about $ 100 million. The construction was declared all -Union, thousands of leading specialists gathered in Dubossary. No more than 50 people remain on the operation of the hydroelectric power station at the end of construction. The hydroelectric power station survived earthquakes, floods, the armed conflict of the early 90s. The station was minimized by the time of fan shutdown at the beginning of 2025, during the period of energy criticism and power outlets, thanks to the coordinated and highly professional work of the station.

In connection with the 70th anniversary of the commissioning of the fourth unit of the State Unitary Enterprise of the Dubossary hydroelectric power station, for a great contribution to the development of the PMR energy industry and ensuring uninterrupted supply of electricity by decree of the president, the enterprise was awarded the Order of Labor Glory. The Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council of the PMR Galina Antyufeeva congratulated the team of the Dubossary hydroelectric power station on a high award.

The Vice Speaker of the Parliament took part in the state awards presentation ceremony, presenting the letters of the PMR Supreme Council. The director of the enterprise Boris German was awarded the Order of Honor – for active participation in measures to eliminate the consequences of the energy crisis and the professionalism shown.

The station is always ready to work as it worked before uninterruptedly, that is the director of the hydroelectric power station emphasized.

Music gifts sounded for the station team at the end of the solemn event.
