Pridnestrovian historians, archivists, library and museum workers got acquainted with the book "The Name on the Stone". The book was presented by the Parliament Vice-Speaker Galina Antyufeyeva and the Supreme Council Deputy Ilona Tyuryaeva at the central office of Obnovlenie Republican Political Party and the Supreme Council Deputy, member of the Central Council of the Party Ilona Tyuryaeva.

The authors of the book "The Name on the Stone" are Igor Chetverikov, senior researcher at the Scientific Research Laboratory "Archeology" PSU named after TG Shevchenko, Chairman of the Union of Photographers of Pridnestrovie Alexander Palamar and journalist Nikolai Fech. They noted that the printed edition tells about different forms of monuments that have survived on the territory of Pridnestrovie. The book was published with the support of the Administration of the PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky and the Obnovlenie Republican Political Party.

Let us remind you that the book "The Name on the Stone" was published in 2020 as part of project dedicated to the study of the surviving tombstones of the 17th - early 20th centuries on the left bank of the Dniester.

Galina Antyufeyeva highly appreciated the work of the team of authors. The Vice Speaker of the Parliament added that the book is significant and will help preserve the history of our region. Deputy of the Supreme Council Ilona Tyuryaeva drew attention to the fact that "The Name on the Stone" project did not arise by chance. Interest in the history of their native land, the life of its inhabitants, more than once brought the enthusiasts and the Renewal Party closer together.

Journalist, ethnographer, correspondent of the newspaper "Pridnestrovie" Nikolay Fech considers that knowledge of one's roots is necessary for raising children and youth, developing society and strengthening the state. He noted that the book is addressed to a wide range of readers. The publication contains an essay by the author dedicated to the expeditionary component of "The Name on the Stone" project.

Earlier, with the support of the Obnovlenie (Renewal) Republican Political Party was published a book by Nikolai Fech entitled "My family in the history of the region". It includes more than 20 essays on the fate of compatriots' dynasties. Both books are part of a large local history project, which is aimed at creating and studying the family tree of the Pridnestrovians.
