The memory of those killed in 1992 was honored in Tiraspol

The memory of the fallen soldiers of the 1st battalion of the Republican Guard was honored at the Memorial of Glory of Tiraspol. Major Vasily Voronkov, warrant officers Leonid Tolstenko and Sergei Shinkov, and sergeant Sergei Titovsky were killed in the battle near Kociery on the 3rd of March, 1992. They managed to free the families of officers and warrant officers of the Civil Defense Regiment at the cost of their lives.

The memory of the victims was honored with a minute of silence, according to the website of the Ministry of Defense of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic. The vice-speaker of the parliament of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Galina Antyufeyeva and the First President of the PMR, the head of the Consultative Assembly of the first Pridnestrovian deputies under the Chairman of the Supreme Council Igor Smirnov, the Co-Chairman of the JCC from Pridnestrovie Oleg Belyakov, as well as representatives of the Government, social activists and youth laid flowers at the graves of the defenders.

Commemorative events dedicated to the 32nd anniversary of the start of repelling the large-scale aggression of the Republic of Moldova against Pridnestrovie were held in Dubossary on the 2nd of March.
