Winners of "Together in the 21st Century" international competition were awarded in Tiraspol

Pridnestrovian schoolchildren have been participating in "Together in the 21st Century" international competition  for 10 years, which is held by the Foundation for Sustainable Development of Bulgaria. In our republic, the competition is organized by the Charitable Foundation "Future of Pridnestrovie", whose president is the Chairman of the Supreme Council Alexander Korshunov. Support is provided every year  by the "Renewal" republican party, led by Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council Galina Antyufeeva.

Over 700 schoolchildren from Pridnestrovie have participated in the competition over 10 years. They prepare drawings, essays, reports and multimedia presentations, record videos of songs and poems in Bulgarian and Russian every year. The themes of the works all these years remain the same – peace and friendship of peoples.

91 winners out of 158 participants from our republic were named based on the results of last year's competition. Medals and certificates for the children, as well as their teachers, were handed over by the jury from the capital of Bulgaria. Prize winners from schools in the city and district were honored recently in Rybnitsa, and winners from Tiraspol, Dnestrovsk and Parkany were invited to the Palace of the Republic today. Participants from the Grigoriopol district and Dubossary will receive their awards in the near future.

The deputy of the Supreme Council Committee on Education Oleg Vasilaty, who is a member of the board of trustees of the Future of Pridnestrovie Foundation, thanked the schoolchildren and their teachers for participating in the competition. The largest number of awards is annually collected by Parkany School No. 3, where Bulgarian culture is regularly given attention during class hours. Other cities and villages of the republic, where they do not know the Bulgarian language so well, but study the culture of this people with interest participate in the competition, for example, perform carols. Children talk not only about the traditions of Bulgarians, but also call on adults to peace in their competition works. The results of the previous year's competition always give a start to participation in the next one. Schoolchildren from all over Pridnestrovie can already prepare their works on a given topic.
