The Renewal Republican Party has been searching, restoring and preparing photographs for the procession of the Immortal Regiment since 2015. This work goes on for a whole year, but there are more and more people shortly before Victory Day who want to take photographs of their relatives who fought on the fields of the Great Patriotic War.
Margarita Perepchik will be in the ranks of the Immortal Regiment for the first time this year. She printed a photograph of her grandfather, Anastasy Georgievich Perepchik in the Renewal party. So, Margarita does not remember her grandfather as he looks in the photo. She found a photograph of the early 40s for the Immortal Regiment in the family archives. Anastasy Perepchik is pictured very young, this is how he went to the front in 1944. Although he was eager to beat the Nazis from the very beginning of the war, they did not take the young man. They called only three years later. Together with Anastasy Georgievich, his friends and classmates went to the front. All of them ended up in one unit and almost all of them remained near Koenigsberg (now Kaliningrad) in March 1945.
The veteran of the Great Patriotic War Anastasy Perepchik had a large family: a wife, eight children and a huge number of grandchildren, Margarita recalls. Grandfather loved Victory Day very much and was always proud that he was involved in this holiday. Anastasy Georgievich died in 2000. He will return to duty 22 years after his death. Granddaughter Margarita took his photo and will walk with her in the procession of the Immortal Regiment.
The Renewal Republican Party helped to arrange a photo for the granddaughter of a veteran of the Great Patriotic War. Old photographs of heroes can be digitized, restored, made to the desired format, printed and laminated since 2015 in all branches of the party throughout Pridnestrovie. All this is absolutely free.
Not only Pridnestrovians turn to the Renewal party for help. Descendants of Soviet soldiers from Moldova and far-abroad countries also write letters with requests. No one is denied the party, the photos found are sent by mail. In the meantime, the Renewal party is collecting data on those veterans who defended these lands in 1941-1945.
In the meantime, the Renewal continues to help with the production of portraits of veterans for the Immortal Regiment and collect its own archive. After all, photographs of those who never returned from the war, and those who lived a long life already under a peaceful sky, are kept in many families.
