The Youth Parliament of Pridnestrovie will be formed in mid-May

Parliamentarians in the course of the plenary online meeting adopted a number of draft resolutions concerning the work of the IV convocation of the Youth Parliament. It was decided that the selection of new young parliamentarians will be a competitive commission of the Supreme Council. It will include deputies and employees of the parliamentary apparatus. There are only 7 people. The commission will be headed by the Deputy of the Committee on Education, Science, Culture, Public Associations, Sports, Information and Youth Policy Oleg Vasilaty. Territorial competitive commissions will also be created under city and regional Councils of People's Deputies. Today, the regulations on the Youth Parliament under the Supreme Council and on the procedure for its formation were approved.

Deputies spoke about the importance of the Youth Parliament and the main tasks and functions in the comments to the press service of the Supreme Council.

Oleg Vasilaty added that the Parliament came from the word "parle" - to speak, you need to learn, and for this you need a tool. Such an instrument - the Youth Parliament - is already functioning. Now the deputies of the PMR Supreme Council are gathering a new convocation and hope that it will show positive results.

The parliamentarian noted that youth is the future of Pridnestrovie. 2021 has been declared the Year of Youth in our republic. According to the adopted decisions, the Youth Parliament should be formed by May 15 of this year. The Deputy is sure that the most active and worthy representatives of the Pridnestrovian youth will be included in its composition.

Oleg Vasilaty added that the III convocation of the Youth Parliament showed itself exclusively from the positive side.

According to the adopted regulation on the procedure for forming the composition of the Youth Parliament, students of universities, activists of youth organizations, parties and associations, as well as representatives of cities and regions of Pridnestrovie will be able to participate in the competitive selection. The interests of students of higher educational institutions will be represented by 12 young deputies, youth organizations - by 16 representatives, the rest will be elected in accordance with the established territorial quota. The names of the young deputies who have entered the Youth Parliament of Pridnestrovie will become known already in mid-May.
