In the family of fraternal peoples

Speaker Alexander Shcherba in the framework of the next meeting of the Parliament’s Presidium spoke to colleagues with a number of messages. He informed the people's representatives that the government had sent a draft capital investment program for 2019 to the Supreme Council for consideration. This document is an integral part of the draft financial document of the year currently under consideration.

It is assumed that the capital investment program will be discussed at the meeting of “The Obnovlenie” (Renewal) faction and during a round table convened in parliament.

Legislations from the President aimed at the legal regulation of banking activities and, in particular, the approval of the Monetary Policy Guidelines, including the establishment of a “currency corridor” for a year were submitted to the Supreme Council in the regime of legislative necessity. Now it is the competence of the central bank, before that it was the prerogative of the parliament. Alexander Shcherba urged the members of the presidium to consider as soon as possible the legislations, submitted by the president and send comments and suggestions to the Committee on Economic Policy, Budget and Finance.

Pridnestrovian parliamentarians in December will take part in a meeting of the Inter-Parliamentary Assembly of the States Parties to the Community “For Democracy and the Rights of Peoples”. It includes the legislative bodies of South Ossetia, Abkhazia and Pridnestrovie. The meeting should take place in the capital of the Republic of South Ossetia, Tskhinval, no later than December 19. At its chairmanship in this international organization should move from South Ossetia to Pridnestrovie. Vice-Speaker of Parliament, Chairperson of the Parliamentary Commission on Foreign Policy and International Relations Galina Antyufeyeva was instructed to form a delegation of the Supreme Council for a trip to South Ossetia and participate in the meeting For Democracy and the Rights of Peoples Community members.
