The defenders were honored in the republic

On the eve of the Day of Defender of the Fatherland in Rybnitsa, the Supreme Council deputy Yakov Galak congratulated veterans of war, labor and armed forces. He gave the council of veterans for the holiday a useful gift a color printer, necessary for work. Members of the veteran public organization expressed warm congratulations and handed out letters of thanks for active work on patriotic education of youth.

Pridnestrovians were congratulated on the Day of Defender of the Motherland by the Vice Speaker of the Parliament Galina Antyufeeva. The words of respect and gratitude of the parliamentarian addressed the veterans and all who meet the holiday in the fighting post.

On February 23, at the Heroes Square in Bendery, a solemn ceremony of laying flowers was held, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the creation of the Red Army.

The deputy of the Supreme Council of the PMR, the co-chairman of the Joint Control Commission from Pridnestrovie Oleg Belyakov, representatives of the state administration and city council of people's deputies, representatives of peacekeeping forces of the Russian Federation, servicemen, veterans, the public, youth took part in the event.

Members of the Unarmed detachments laid flowers at the monument to "Fighters for Soviet Power", Memorial of Memory and Sorrow, a memorable sign to peacekeepers. The memory of the dead heroes was honored with a minute of silence.
